Anyway, after getting over that stressful moment, I had dinner the following evening with some amazing friends that involved cocktail making. Now, I have to say, if you guys ever need an amazing and unknown cocktail there is something called a lemon meringue pie (I think) that contains Vanilla Vodka, Butterscotch Liqueur and Gran Marnier that is absolutely blooming AMAZING. Thereafter we watched back to back Hammer Horror. You can tell I don't socialize much, as when I do it simply contains alcohol and horror films, my idea of heaven.
Having consumed much yummy cocktail, I then drag my ass on to the yard in the morning before flying up to London for a TV shoot, yes a blooming TV shoot, can you believe it. Fortunately my lovely sharer was taking Daisy out and Tonto managed to exercise himself whilst I pooh picked gallivanting happily behind me like a crazy bronco - very cute and pretty - bludy glad I was not on his back !!
So, in classic horsey chick style I rock up to the shoot in jeans and boots before changing in to my on-set costume which I am quickly advised is for a SPINNING (gym exercise on a small un-moving bike with a razor thin saddle) shoot. Now, the thought of this nearly makes me cry immediately. I am marginally hungover and I have been lugging horse stuff around most of the morning, the thought of spinning is not at this moment doing it for me.
BUT - being the professional (ha ha - this is my first time on any kind of set since I was age 12!) I sling on my gym attire, get covered in Glycerin for the sweaty look by make-up and climb on my spin bike where I am told on more than one occasion to SPRINT and then appear as if I have lost the 'race' that we are apparently doing as they shoot some sort of film. 2 hours later as I collapse off my bike in to a sweaty heap, they do actually shout those brilliant words 'THAT'S A WRAP', they actually do that, and I couldn't have been happier !!!
So, although not too horsey, this was a completely random and super fun weekend. Next weekend back to horsey craziness with dressage on Saturday, ahhhhh :)
