I set this website up primarily because horsey folk are always asking each-other a million questions about who to go to for what, we require a huge number of services at different times and it is hard to know where to look for what you need. Horsey communities can be very tightly knit and if you are new to the area, it can be tough to get going. I hope this website alleviates some of those issues and gives you a central go to place where you can find most of your basic horse requirements including farriers, vets, horse transport etc.
The questions I always find myself asking the people on the yard vary massively between which wormer to use at any time of year, which farmer to go to for hay, where the best haylage is, what it should cost, what feed should I use, should I try barefoot, what clip to get, what blooming mane additive makes hair thicker, what supplements work and the list goes on. I cannot answer all of these questions, but through my years of having horses, that's the last 20 years, I have built up some knowledge.
I have worked on professional yards including hunting and eventing and learnt a huge amount, I was brought up on a farm so I also understand a good amount about basic animal and horse care. From this website I would like to be able to answer any horsey questions you have (please post comments below or email me) and if I can't help, I am sure I can point you in the right direction to someone that can.
A lot of Surrey services are already listed on my site, and I am slowly building this up to the broader South as I go along, for the moment, most things on here are Surrey orientated as that is where I am based.
Happy viewing, thanks all, Rebecca
