PONY PATTERS THE ULTIMATE GUIDE

ABOUT US AND WHY WE ARE HERE !

About Us

a little about me!  Well I have had horses since I was about 9 years old when my wonderful mum bought me a PONY!  One exceedingly naughty 3 year old New Forest x Arab, whom I might add I learnt to ride on, albeit on the lunge, at speed, to begin with.

I remember the first time my mum eventually let me off the lunge line, having begged and pleaded for weeks and weeks to finally be allowed off the lunge line.  And there it was, low and behold a pony galloping across the way with a screaming 9 year old in tow.  But it was fun and I was sold on horses for life.

Who We Are

I have been based with my current horses, one 7 year old Irish Sports Horse and one insane 3 year old Arab in Epsom, Surrey for quite some time now.

This pony patters guide is going to start with Surrey, purely because that's where I live and that's where the services are that I use - first hand experience is certainly what you will get here.  I then hope to get stuck in to Buckinghamshire, because that is another place where I have lived and worked with horses.

Our History

 - I have been in to horses since I was a kid.  I have learnt masses on my journey, and I hope to relay a little of this on to you through my guide to Who's Who in Horses.

In terms of what I do, I love to hunt, I drag hunt and I love to go cross-country as often as I can.  I have dreams of becoming Jonelle Price (the NZ eventer) but until I get myself out of prelim dressage, I shall keep on dreaming !

I have recently broken-in my little Arab, and I use the term broken loosely as occasionally he reverts back to mustang style antics and reminds me that the saddle has only been on his back a short time.  What I do love about him though is he has reminded me what it feels like to ride something that says, you know what, actually NO, that buggy is scary and I do intend to run, before I remind him of the word WOH.

My mare is a wicked dream of a mare and does pretty much everything I could ask, she is, as my mum calls her, a diamond........
